WHY BANSKO?
Bansko is more than just a ski resort or a hiking destination. For families like ours, it is a unicorn: a place where "free-range parenting" isn't a buzzword, but a daily reality.
We chose to build the Treehouse here because Bansko has become our home base while traveling for the past 6 years, and a global hub for world-schoolers, digital nomads, and nature-loving families.
It offers the rare combination of a safe, walkable town, the wild beauty of the Pirin mountains, and a pace of life where we can actually afford being present in our childrens lives.
But even in paradise, isolation is real. We realized that while Bansko had the nature and the safety, it was missing the "Third Space" for families: that neutral ground where kids can find their best friends and parents can find their tribe. That’s why we are here.
THE FOUNDING FAMILIES
The Treehouse wasn't started by a faceless corporation. It started as a conversation between parents who were tired of trying to fit a playroom into a suitcase, and jumping around between events and cafes, trying to hold together a social life.
The Treehouse is supported by a group of local and expat families who realized we all had the same problem: we wanted to work, we wanted our kids to play deeply, and we didn't want to do it alone.
