Treehouse Community Guidelines & Terms of Service

Welcome to the Tribe! The Treehouse is a "Third Space" designed specifically for families in Bansko. Think of it as a shared creative hub that acts as a wonderland for kids, an Innovation Lab for teens, and a social lounge for parents to connect. By purchasing a pass, joining our membership, or entering our space, you are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions. While this is a legal agreement designed to protect our shared space, it is fundamentally a mutual understanding among friends and neighbors.

1. Supervision & The "Co-Play" Promise
For Social & Explorers (Ages 0-10): We resource the connection; we don't outsource the parenting. Even during our facilitated "Explorers Club" sessions, fees cover the materials, activities and guide time, not custodial childcare. On the Social track You must remain on-site, on explorers track you are free to mentally disengage, co-work, and focus on yourself. At all times, Legally and practically, your child remains under your supervision when in the treehouse. If you send a delegate (nanny, grandparent), you accept full legal liability for their actions and ensure they follow our rules.
For The Teens Club (Ages 12+): The Foundry & Innovation Lab is a designated "parent-free zone." Teens are expected to attend without parental supervision to foster autonomy. However, the Treehouse is an open-door community facility, not a secure lock-in center. We do not police teens arriving or leaving the premises. Parents are responsible for establishing their own boundaries and check-in rules with their teens.

2. Memberships, Billing, & Strict No-Refund Policy
Final Sale: All purchases, including Monthly Residencies (Social, Explorers, Teens), Flex 6-Packs, Weekly Passes, and Daily Passes, are final sale. Upon membership activation or pass purchase, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
Sibling Discount: For families committing to our community with multiple children in our Monthly memberships only (Explorers or Teens), we offer a 12% discount on the +2nd child’s membership.
Visitor Pass Credit: If you decide to upgrade to a Monthly membership within 7 days of purchasing a Guest Pass, we will deduct the cost of your Guest Pass from your first month's membership.

3. Hours of Operation & Slot-Based AccessTo ensure the best environment for each age group, access to the Treehouse is strictly governed by our slotted schedule:
Social: Designated open-house hours, meetups, and weekend hangouts. Open to all Social members.
Explorers (Ages 4–10): Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings (10:00 – 13:00).
Teens (Ages 12+): Wednesday and Thursday afternoons (16:00 – 18:00).
Grown-Ups (18+): Specific 19:00+ weekday and weekend events.
Facility Access: Your digital code or physical access key is restricted to the specific program slots you are registered for. Utilizing the space outside of your membership slots, or sharing your entry code with non-members, is a severe security breach and will result in immediate termination without refund.

4. The Innovation Lab & Equipment Safety (Teens)
High-Tech Tools: The Teens Club provides access to professional Makerspace equipment, including a 3D printer, soldering irons, robotics kits, Cricut machines and more.
Assumption of Risk: While these sessions are semi-facilitated by an adult mentor who will provide safety instructions, teens will be handling heated elements and small electronics. Parents assume the risk of minor burns, scrapes, or accidents inherent to maker and engineering activities.
Respect for Gear: We trust our teens with expensive equipment. Gross negligence, intentional misuse, or failure to follow safety guidelines that results in the destruction of machines will result in the parent being billed for the full replacement cost of the hardware.

5. House Rules & The "Library of Things"
Creation Over Consumption: We focus on sustainable, open-ended tools that build long-term skills.
Screen-Free Zone (Ages 0-12): We enforce a strict no-screens policy for younger children in the play areas. (Note: This does not apply to the Teens Club, where laptops and tablets are essential tools for 3D modeling and digital design).
Leave It Better: You (and your teens) agree to facilitate clean-up of projects, art supplies, and games before leaving.
Food & Delivery: You are welcome to use our House Kitchen or order delivery! Delivery drivers cannot enter the space; please meet them outside. Food must be consumed at the designated kitchen area tables.
Damage vs. Wear: We happily cover normal wear and tear. However, for destruction or loss caused by negligence, you agree to pay the full replacement cost of the item.

6. Comprehensive Health & Sickness Policy
The 24-Hour Rule: To protect our community, you absolutely may not bring your child, your teen, or yourself into the Treehouse if anyone in your family has experienced a fever, vomiting, persistent cough, or contagious rash in the last 24 hours.
Right of Refusal: We strictly reserve the right to deny entry or mandate that a family leave the premises immediately if we observe active symptoms of illness.
Medical Emergencies: In the rare event of a severe medical emergency where you are incapacitated or cannot be reached, you grant Treehouse explicit authorization to call 112 or seek emergency medical care for your child at your sole expense.

7. Media & Privacy
Capturing the Vibe: We occasionally take photos and videos of our space (including Explorers' builds and Teens' 3D prints) to share the magic of the Tribe on our social media and website.
Opt-Out: If you prefer your child/teen not to appear in any marketing materials, it is your responsibility to notify us in writing. We will do our absolute best to honor this; if we ever miss it, simply message us and we will remove the media immediately.

8. Comprehensive Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk
Assumption of Risk: By entering the Treehouse, you acknowledge and fully assume all risks of personal injury, property damage, or illness arising from the use of our facility, tools (including Makerspace equipment), toys, and resources.
Release of Liability: You unconditionally release the Treehouse, its founders, owners, facilitators, mentors, and employees from any and all liability for personal injury, sickness, or property loss occurring on the premises.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Treehouse against any claims, damages, or legal actions arising directly or indirectly from your family's (or your delegate's) use of the space.
